DESCRIPTION:
Ansonia Brass Co., Ansonia, Conn., C.1855, short drop chisel-bottom timepiece, 8-day.
CONDITION:
rosewood veneered case in as found condition in original finish. Veneer on the outer edge of the octagon dial surround shows age cracks and lifting creating a rough surface, and there are some chips. Original painted dial has some minor chips and loss at the mounting screws and a small area at 4 o'clock, but is overall excellent. Hands and tablet are original, even paint on reverse of tablet is original. Label inside has darkened, but is very readable. Overall a good original school clock, runs fine. Ht 24.5"
